Firsts for Jake

Jake slept through the night last night from 10:30-8:30, yay!  He is giggling too which is super cute!

This was actually taken this afternoon when he was napping...I love how he has his fingers up to his mouth.

Boating fun

We went boating when Jason got off work yesterday.....my mom and Steve came too....we had a great time.

then the fighting started as usual :-(

And this baby was just chillin and loving every minute of his boat ride :-)

Everyone wakeboarded except for the kiddos :-)  I love summers in Boise, it doesn't get dark until after 10:00pm, which means more time to play and have fun in the sun!

Beautiful Saturday

We went to Ann Morrison Park on Saturday with our friends for the "Boise Rec Fest"....it was pretty cool, they had a bunch of vendors with a ton of recreational activities/stuff to look at.  We ended up in the grassy field and Dave & Jason played frisbee.  The kids ran around.

Emery's 1st tent campout

Jason took Emery to his first overnight campout Friday night....our church had a large campsite reserved.  Jake, Owen and I stayed home :-)  Emery had a blast!!  He LOVED the tent!  I am still a trailer camper, so the boys can put up the tent and I will

stay inside :-)

Funny things from Emery

Just had to document some things Emery has been saying to me lately:

He asks me all the time "Why do mommies hold babys alot?"  "Is it because they don't walk?"

This morning...he came into our room at 6am and after being in bed with us for 20 minutes he sees me yawn and says "Mommy, are you tired?"..I respond "yes Emery I am tired".  And he says "Why?  Is it because I came and woke you up?".  I say "yes Emery" and he says "Oh, sorry mommy".

The other day we were going to the park and we didn't have plans to meet any of our friends.  So he asks, "mommy, are our friends going to be there?" and I respond and say "no, I don't think so, not today" and he says "well I will meet new friends then"... and continues and says "will they be shy mommy?"


And my personal favorite....he says to me on the couch this afternoon...."mommy, is there a baby in your belly?"...how's that for a confidence booster??
Where does he come up with these things?  I love watching him discover the world everyday and see how his 3 year old
brain develop :-)

He's so stinkin cute!

Jake is really a happy baby.  He doesn't ever fuss unless he is hungry, getting tired or needs to burp..pretty typical things.  I don't know how I got so lucky to have such a great baby but I will take it :-)  He is sleeping really well at night, he even slept all the way through the night twice this week.  He takes great long naps and goes down so easily.  I love that he has a double chin now :-)

My only complaint is that he is growing up too fast.....it makes me so sad  :-(

Lovin the weather

Summer has finally decided to arrive in Idaho!!  The weather has been beautiful and we are taking advantage of it and spending lots of time outside. 

This was taken last night before our 4 wheeler ride as a family...ok just picture Emery wedged in between Owen and Jason and me sitting up behind Jason with Jake in a front pack :-)  The boys absolutely LOVE going on rides.

Emery got his 1st sleeping bag in anticipation for his 1st camping trip this Friday night with daddy!  He is so excited....he is saying "we are going to sleep outside mommy, in a tent with my friends and daddy and it willl be dark".

Jake seemed to like it too :-)

And Owen got in on the action!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day.  These 3 boys are extremely blessed to have Jason for their daddy!

Thank you Jason for being such a hands on daddy....for the countless hours you spend with your boys....for helping with late night feedings so I can get some extra sleep, for changing more diapers than I can count, for just loving these 3 boys the way you do.....you are the BEST father/daddy/dada in the world and we can't imagine life without you.  Thank you for bringing us so much happiness!

Jake's 2 month stats

We had Jake's 2 month visit to his pediatrician yesterday.  Here are his stats:

Weight: 12 lbs (50%)
Height 22 1/2 inches (25%)- no surprise there :-)
And drum roll please.....Head Circumference......16 inches (90%), yes another boy with a large head :-)

Note bandaids on both legs....it never gets any easier to watch your baby get shots :-(

Enjoying the park

Went to the park yesterday afternoon with Grandma Oliver.  The boys had a great time.  Jake seemed to enjoy just being outside hanging in his stroller :-)
