Memorial Day Weekend

We went camping over Memorial Day weekend north of Council, Idaho. We had a slight misfortune on the freeway on the way there... something must have hit our water pipe and well we lost all of our water...but we fixed it on the 2nd day (I had to shower you know :-), modern day camping is the way to go!

We found a great flat spot and the kids loved it. We went with the Bucher family who have 2 boys, Mason (18 months) and Cole (3 1/2). Emery LOVES camping....he was so happy the whole weekend, he kept saying"camping, trailer, ride truck(translated means ride on the 4 wheeler), and he loved having friends to play with. The boys were so content just playing in the dirt....who needs toys when you have nature?

Here is Emery standing in the campfire one morning with Cole who thought Emery was pretty silly :-)

Our camp

Our family on the 4 wheeler (not to worry, it was safe, Owen was in a front pack on me and Emery held on tight)

Our friends, Adam, Shaanti, Cole & Mason

Taken after one of our rides, Owen slept 90% of the time

Emery roasting his 1st marshmallows

Emery enjoying a hot dog off the campfire

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY EMERY!!!!

Taken on Emery's bday

This was hilarious.....Emery would fall asleep during early evening rides with daddy

Mason & Emery playing in the dirt

Don't ask......he decided to sit on a rock

All the boys except for baby Owen

This was so cute....Jason & Adam were messing around trying to catch some air on the 4 wheelers and Emery was watching saying"jump daddy, ride truck"

Camping was a lot of fun....minus the boys not sleeping that great (which also means mommy & daddy not sleeping great :-), we had an awesome time.....Emery is hooked :-) I am sure he will want to celebrate every birthday camping!!!
