Emery had his 2 year doctor's appt today. His pediatrician is mildly concerned about his lack of weight gain. He weighed in at 24 lbs 4 ounces and is 32 1/2 inches tall. She wants to see him back when he is 2 1/2 years old to recheck his weight. He hasn't been eating that well for months. She said some of that is normal as 2 year olds are so busy and active and are not really interested in food. With that said, we need to fatten him up!!! So we will keep trying....it's just strange because he used to eat a lot and everything so we will keep trying! It's hard too because his baby brother weighs in at 22 lbs and he is only 8 months old!!!
On another note, Emery got really sick yesterday with a 103 fever! This is the highest fever he has ever had and it was heartbraking to watch. He would say "Mommy, hot", telling me that he was burning up and he was burning up. He seems to be a bit better today and hasn't had a high fever since 4am, so hopefully he is coming out of it. At 4 am this morning, I tried putting a cool washcloth on his neck and forehead and he said, "Mommy, no, stop it" and just moaned! It is so sad to watch your little one suffer, I just want to take it from him.

fevers are the WORST!!!! i'm glad he is doing better. hendrix never got the fever that quinn had this week and i am SO GRATEFUL. it's so hard when they are miserable and you can't make it better. :(
