Snow day!

We got some snow today and the boys wanted to go out and play, so I caved :-)  Emery wanted to go down to the play area and in his words, "walk the trails too".  He loves being outside and exploring, even in the snow.

Owen did not want his picture taken and kept hiding from me :-)

Emery is such a cheeseball!

Jake slept during the outside activities, but when he woke up, he decided it would be way fun to climb inside the laundry basket and then stand up.

And show ALL of his teeth :-)

I asked the boys to go in Jake's room and say hi to him so I could just finish something and this is what I found when I came into the room.....oh man, they are totally going to teach Jake to climb in and out of his crib!

I just love these boys to pieces..I am ggateful for these sweet blessings.

Some things I want to remember about this time in the boy's lives

Owen:  Today, 2/29/12 (it's leap year :-)  he was upset and I was consoling him and he says "I you mommy" (translation, I love you mommy).  And then he says "you back hurt mommy".  That was random, but my back has been hurting and he knew it :-) 

Emery: He has created a special goodbye with Jason and I......it goes like this "Kiss, hug, squeeze" and he asks in that order and you have to do it at least 5 times before he is happy with it :-)  And a real squeeze is required, it's pretty sweet!  This happens every morning before Jason leaves for work, when I go to work, when he goes to preschool, anytime :-)

Jake: He is giving big wet and slobbery kisses and is happy to give them at any time!  He is trying to stand up by himself and just crawling all over the place, up the stairs in the living room and trying to do big ones too.

Emery's 2nd time to the dentist....what a huge success!!!!

I took Emery to the dentist for the 2nd time in his life this morning......he did AWESOME!  He is SO independent....when we first got there, I sat next to him with Jake & Owen of course :-) and was talking to him and he says "Mommy, go out there and wait".  He didn't want me in the room with him.  He let the hygienist polish his teeth and everything, holy cow!!  What a BIG boy!

Way to go Emery....you made your mommy so proud!!

Jake is pulling himself up to stand :-)

First he is crawling all over the place and now he is pulling himself up on his own.
Jake, you are throwing your mommy off.....your brothers were not doing these things this early.  I'm not sure what to do :-)  I am in trouble!! (Don't mind the baby food on his nose, hehehe, it was right after dinner before his bath)



It was the cutest thing ever to watch him just get a kick out of himself!

Sledding fun!

We had a fun morning sledding on Monday with our dear friends, Shane & Amy and their boys, Cade & Carson.  It was President's Day and the husband's had the day off :-)

First time at Chuck E Cheese

We went to Chuck E Cheese for the first time with our good friends, The Buchers who have 3 boys too :-) so it was lots of fun!!  Emery and Owen had a blast....so fun to see their excitement.

Even the babies had fun.....Kade just turned 1, they will be good buddies :-)

Emery is already asking when are we going back?  I'm in trouble :-)  but I think we might have Jake's 1 year birthday party there in April!

This week so far

This is by far Jake's favorite toy :-)  He gets so excited watching balls fly out the top, it's too cute.
