Baby Owen loves to sleep

Owen likes to sleep (during the day that is)! He is such a blessing to our family. He had his first checkup at the doctor yesterday and he is doing very well. He weighed in at 7 lbs, 9 ounces which is great considering many babies don't get near their birthweight for 2 weeks. We love this little guy to pieces.

After eating (so serious)

Emery is 16 months old!!!

Emery is 16 months old today! He loves his new toy (tent). He is a busy boy these days walking and getting into everything. He seems to be adjusting well to life as a big brother. He weighs 23 pounds and is 31 inches long.

Jason reads to Emery every night before bed, he loves it

This is Emery in our hospital bag after we unpacked

Jason has been taking Emery outside to work (well Em hangs in the truck)

Owen Anthony

Well, Mr. Owen Anthony Huszar is with us. A happy and healthy baby boy weighing in at 7 pounds 11 ounces and 21.5 inches long. I am only home for a few minutes and heading back to the hospital. Here are some pictures. I especially love those of Emery meeting his new best friend. What an amazingly blessing to have two beautiful boys!!

God has blessed Christy, myself, and our entire family.

Some thoughts before the big day

I thought I would take some time to write down some thoughts I am having. I can't believe Owen will be here tomorrow. I am having so many emotions that it is difficult to express them in words. I am excited, nervous, anxious, happy, and sad all at the same time, is that possible? I can't wait to meet Owen Anthony and to see his face and give him a kiss. I am nervous about the surgery even though I have been through it once before, I know what to expect and it makes me feel a bit anxious. I am nervous about the delivery and just pray that Owen will be healthy. There are no guarantees and it is easy to take things for granted but I have strong faith that everything will be ok. I am feeling a little sad that this is our last night with Emery just the 3 of us. Emery has no idea what is about to happen and I just hope that he can adjust well. He is still our baby and so young but I know that he and Owen will be great friends one day. I hope and pray that I can be a great mother to both of my boys. Emery has been such an amazing blessing and such a joy. I can't wait to meet baby Owen. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers this evening. We love all of you and thanks for all of your support and kindness.

He's walking everywhere

Emery is walking everywhere. Our friend Amy got Emery this great monkey and he has been carrying it around for days. I knew that Emery would start walking right before baby Owen came and sure enough he is on the go!!!!

He was trying to tell me something in this one

Packing the hospital bag

So this is how I found Emery this morning. I had Jason get the bag out so I could pack it for the hospital. Emery decided that it looked fun so he got in it and found some floss of all things and played with it for a while.

Hanging with Emery on Sunday

We captured some photos of Emery and I this afternoon. He has been sooo cuddly lately and of course we never have the camera ready but we tried. He has been really cute with my belly, he will lean over and put his head on my belly and say "baba" for baby! I am 9 days away from delivering baby Owen and a bit uncomfortable these days :)

Emery is really progressing with his walking (there are 2 cute videos on the bottom). He is getting more brave everyday and taking steps without any prompting. He also said his first real word yesterday (9/12/09) "CHEESE"!!!

Jason cut my head off in this one but Em's expression is too cute! I had just asked him, where is the baby?

I just love him sooooooo much!

This is Emery being really silly on the stairs!

He's walking!!!!!!

Well it is finally happening!!!! Emery has been walking back and forth between Jason and I this evening. I don't know when you can make it official and say he is walking but he is taking steps on his own without prompting. He even walked from the fireplace over to the couch and tile stairs which is probably about 10-12 steps. I think he still prefers to crawl at this point because it is much faster but he will get there. We are proud of you Emery Quinn!!! You made your pregnant mommy cry!!!
