NO training wheels!!!!

Emery is riding with no training wheels!!!   After church Sunday, Jason was out in the garage with Emery and Jason comes running in the house and yells for me to come out there, I could hear the excitement in his voice.  I came out and Emery says "look mommy, no training wheels".  He was SO proud of himself and we were equally proud of him.  He has been riding a balance bike for a while now and doesn't get to practice very often since we live in the mountains, but I guess he mastered balancing after all.  We went to my mom's house for dinner Sunday night to celebrate Jason and my mom's birthdays and Emery took off on his bike!!  He did so awesome.....no falls or anything, he just started peddling and that was it!!!!!!!!!  We are so proud of our little guy, GO EMERY!!!

Happy 5 months Ellie!

Ellie is 5 months old today!  She is getting SO big and has so much personality.  She is rolling over like crazy and is trying to sit up!  We just can't get enough of this sweet baby girl!

We SOLD our house!!!!

We SOLD our house.....it closed this past Friday!!!!  We are renting back for a year and are planning to build on a 2 acre lot we purchased in the valley below.  We will about 15 minutes closer to town and will have SO much less maintenance and will be on flat land :-)  It is really bittersweet for us......we really love our home and love our property but life changes and with 4 little kids we need to simplify!! 

It is a bit surreal and kind of sad, we have SO many wonderful memories in our home, but it's time to move on and
we are pretty excited to build again :-)

We will never duplicate the amazing views from this home, but we think our new lot is pretty special.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jake!!!!!!!!!!!

Jake turned 2 on April 11!!!  Wow, that's really hard to believe that he is 2 already.......he is such a sweetheart.  I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday.  He is the only child that put me into labor :-)  what does that tell you about his personality?????  I was scheduled on April 11 for my c-section at 7am and he decided to come a little earlier at 2:30 am.  Contractions every 2 minutes for several hours, it was the WORST pain I have ever experienced.  The drive to the hospital at midnight was crazy....deer all over the highway and me screaming from pain and jason driving so fast, reminding me to breathe, we should have taped it :-)

His 1st birthday!

His 2nd birthday party!  I ordered a yummy ice cream cake from Ben & Jerrys!

 

This one was taken on his actual bday yesterday playing with his new Buzz Light Years....he went around all day saying"Buzz Light Year".

 

He opened his dream light pillow when we got home from mommy and daddy, he loves it.....and I love Owen's excitement too :-)

 

Jake is our firecracker!  He has SO much personality, is quite the character, has looks like noone else, can give the best scowl you have ever seen and has a smile that lights up the room!  He is becoming quite the talker.  Some of his favorite phrases are :  "stop it", "I get it", I want down", I wuv you".......he is such a joy, we are so blessed to have him. 

 

Easter 2013

We had such a nice Easter....went to church and had a great dinner at my mom and Steve's house with a fun easter egg hunt.   It was such a beautiful day, sunny and warm :-)
