What a rough few days it has been at the Huszar household.....it started Wednesday with Owen throwing up only once, which led to Jake getting really sick on Thursday, he threw up 14 times, yep 14, that's alot for a little one.....it was very sad to watch him struggle. The hard part is that he can't tell you when he's about to get sick, so that means vomit on the couch, rugs, carpet, his bed, well anywhere he would be at the time. Then Emery got it, throwing up in the middle of the night Thursday night which led to Jason getting it Friday, he was in bed all day in between being sick and multiple trips to the bathroom. Well, then it was my turn, I was throwing up all night Friday night into Saturday morning. I stayed in bed all day until 4pm Saturday and Jason held down the fort. Ellie has been super fussy, pulling her legs in and we can tell she is having belly pain. It's a pretty helpless feeling when you can't do anything to make her feel better :-(
It's so tough to take care of kiddos and especially a newborn in the middle of the night when you are sick yourself. We have been blessed by some special people in our lives. My dear friend Amy showed up at our house Friday with a care package: saltine crackers, sprite, pedialyte, movies, popsicles, chocolate and foaming bubble bath (for mommy), and a pizza ready to cook from papa murphy's! She drove all the way to our house from Boise, up our snowy roads and everything! She will never truly know what that meant to me.
Then our friend Donna from church brought us homemade chicken nooodle soup and bread Saturday afternoon and offered to take the boys, but we had to say no for fear she would get sick!
We feel truly blessed to have wonderful friends that care so much! We are not 100% yet, Emery and Jake now seem to have colds, with runny noses, sore throats and belly aches. Ellie continues to be fussy :-( and has thrown up several times today.
