A beautiful day in the park

My mom and I walked the greenbelt by the Boise river and had lunch in the park. Emery loves being outdoors. It is a beautiful day. we are truly blessed to live in such an awesome part of the country.

We had some professional photos taken a few weeks ago of our little guy. He did pretty well although he wouldn't have any blankets or props on him!!!!! So as a result he is a naked baby with his diaper!!!

You have to love his hair sticking straight up!!!

He was about to fall over, he still doesn't tolerate being on his belly for too long!!!

Is Emery teething already?????

Emery has been chewing on everything this week mostly his first 2 fingers (he hasn't found his thumb yet). He is drooling A LOT too!!!! I don't feel anything in his mouth but this first time mommy doesn't know!!!

New milestones

A few updates for Emery this week:

• He rolled over for the first time last night (9/23/08), he had been trying for a few days. It was great because Jason & I both witnessed it.
• He has been taking his binky out of his mouth and holding it.
• He is starting to discover his feet and is trying to grab them.
• He has been going to the chiropractor 2xweek for a few weeks now because he has torticollis, where he favors leaning his head to the right side. The right side is contracted and tight. It is usually caused in utero where the baby lays on the right side. The doctor said he is making great progress, we will go to physical therapy once the sessions are completed.
• He is a great sleeper!!!! I am a lucky mommy, he sleeps 9-10 hours per night!!!!!!!
• It is so amazing to watch all of the changes each week, sometimes on a daily basis.

Emery is 4 months old today!!!!

Emery is 4 months old today!!! Our little baby is growing soooo fast!!! He is a happy guy most of the time. I love being a mother and am so grateful to my hubby that I can stay home with him!!! It is the most rewarding & most challenging job that I have ever had.

I just can't get enough of his chubby legs!!!!

Fun Play Date

Emery had a play date this afternoon with his buddies, Cade & Carson at the park. Emery can't sit up on his own so mommy had to help him out!

Rice cereal anyone?

So we decided to give Emery his first trial run of rice cereal this evening. If he could talk to us he would say, "what is this daddy"????

He doesn't seem to like it too much.......

And judging by his face I would say he hates it!!!!!!!

After the feeding was over, he decided to take a little nap!

Today we stopped in the park to go for a walk with grandma Lynn. It is a beautiful day in Boise with 70 degrees and sunshine. Emery loves the outdoors!!!

Emery gets tummy time

We have been working on tummy time for weeks and Emery decided this morning that he was going to impress his mommy! He is doing great and is getting so much stronger!!!

A little side note: Emery went to the doctor yesterday and he weighs 14 lbs, 10 ounces!!! Can you say little chunker??? That is the 68th percentile, he is a growing boy!!
