Mr Emery

I just have to document what happend with Mr. Emery on Sunday.  I was in his primary class at church with all the kids and a lesson was being given by the teacher about making good choices and following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ.  A story was given about a little boy and lots of examples were shared with good choices and poor choices and the kids had to give a thumbs up for a good choice and a thumbs down for a poor choice.  One of the examples was about the little boy's parents asking him to take a nap and the little boy said "ok, I will go and take a nap" and he didn't give his parents any trouble and just obeyed them. 

So on the way home from church (keep in mind it's 1:00 and nap time), Jason says to Emery, "we are going to eat a little lunch when we get home and then it's nap time Emery".  Emery replies, "no nap, just lunch".  So I chime in and remind Emery about the lesson in primary and give him the example from above and Emery replies "I'm not going to take a nap, bad choice, thumbs down".  I am SO glad that lesson sunk in, oh man, what are we going to do with him???  He's so strong willed and stubborn, wonder where he gets that from???  HA!
