March 23: Happy Birthday to Christy and Happy Easter! We had a nice day at church and dinner at Lynn's house, with some excellent ice cream cake. Here is a little trivia, the next time Christy's birthday will be on Easter is the year 2160! Here are a few pictures from this evening. We continue to work on the nursery. I installed a new ceiling fan on Saturday and we got a recliner/rocker. This will allow Christy or me to sleep in there as it is very comfortable. Christy will be 31 weeks on Wednesday 3/26/2008. March 15: This was taken from the backyard today. It is a beautiful day, we actually received 3 inches of snow last night but it is melting quickly (yeah)!

This was taken last Saturday of the dogs enjoying the river. I don't know how they were not cold. They loved it and we couldn't get them out of the water for very long!

I am 28 weeks! It is hard to believe that I have entered the 3rd trimester! Emery will be here before we know it. He is on the move and a busy baby boy! He keeps me entertained.

February 2008

Today is Feb 17, 2008 and we have finally purchased some of the decor for little Emery's nursery. We thought we would continue the animal theme in our lives with alligators, tigers, monkeys, elephants, and zebras. More to come soon. We have Monday off so it is a 3 day weekend.

Here is a picture of the boys this morning. The snow is melting but we have a long way to go before we will have grass again. This picture is in our backyard and there is still about 2.5 feet of snow on the ground which is hard so the boys can walk on top of it.

I am 24 weeks! Emery is really starting to move now. I think he might be a gymnast and take after Jason!!!

Here is a picture taken from the driveway. The piles of snow are only moveable by the "big" equipment now. All we can do is try to keep the middle part clean.

Here is a shot from close to the start of our driveway to give you some idea of how far we have to plow to our house.

As you can see, Cody likes to watch us plow from the top of the snow piles. He is part wolf we think and loves to be outside all the time. Riley on the other hand, our eldest, is inside waiting to go sleep by the fire. His most recent nickname is "Wolfy".

On Friday night we had to hire a subcontractor to clean up our driveway with a huge front loader. There are a few pictures of that below. We made it into town Saturday to get some food. On Saturday night (i.e. last night) we received another 14-16 inches of new snow. We have drifts over 5 feet high all over the place and where we have to pile the snow from plowing is 7 feet and higher in spots. More to come.

Happy February 1st! It is still snowing.... We have had over 2 feet of snow in the last few days. Our roof has over 4 feet so shoveling the roof will be next priority!

Jason and I have been snowed in for 3 days!!!! Our driveway is a horrible mess, so we have hired a neighbor with heavy equipment to clean it up today. Our snow plow system isn't cutting it anymore and I know Jason is tired of getting stuck!


Notice on the picture below that our 5 foot fence is getting close to being covered.



The picture below is taken from the front door. I don't think we will have any vistors any time soon. Our front porch is buried!!!!

January2008

January 22 Update: I am 22 weeks tomorrow! My belly is growing. This past Saturday was an exciting day. Baby Emery was very active and for the first time Jason could feel & see him moving!

January 11: Here is the footage of us learning the sex of our baby. It is a good day. God is smiling down on us. We feel very blessed.

"Grammy" Lynn came to share the experience with us. She was excited to see her first grandchild in action.

January 9: We've had about 2.5 feet of snow in the last 72 hours. This morning we had a small avalanche from the snow equipment on the main road that put about 150 foot long by 3 feet deep of snow across the driveway. Had to have our neighbor get his Bobcat out to dig us out! Fun, Fun!

Good Morning from Boise. It is January 6, 2008 and we received about 4 inches of snow last night. Here are a few pictures from this morning. We hope everyone is well and will post again soon.

December 2007

Well we realized that we probably should be putting the newer posts at the top of the page, not the bottom. This is our last post of 2007. As you can tell I was salivating below over a new dish that Christy made last night called Bolognese pizza. It was delicious!!! I fell asleep before midnight last night and Christy was awake to see the ball drop. 10 years ago last night I asked Christy to marry me. Wow how this mortal life flies by!! More to come soon. Welcome to our new blog. Here are the boys between stops while looking for a Christmas tree. Although they were rarely in the truck, they would ride between stops sometimes. We went just north of Idaho City for the second year to locate and chop down our Christmas tree. It was a great time and we went with Amy (Christy's friend) and her Mom and Dad.

Here is our Christmas Tree. We took about 4 feet off the bottom so we ended up with about 13.5 feet in our house. Note: Jason was willing to have a 10 footer!

We've gotten a lot of snow this winter so far. Here is a view from our dining room at sunrise on 12/21.
