Happy Birthday Ellie Lynn

Ellie Lynn Huszar arrived on Tuesday November 27 at 2:30pm, she weighed 7 pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long.  This was the toughest c-section mommy has had to date, the spinal anethesia was rough and mommy was super nauseated during the delivery and for a while after, but
she's worth it :-)  She came out screaming and didn't stop for a little bit, we joked that the drama has already begun!!  It was emotional for Jason and I to see her our daughter for the first time, we both shed a lot of tears.  Immediately we could see Owen in her.....she has a cleft little chin, dark blue eyes and lighter hair (well fuzz), and his nose.  She is so sweet!

Here are some pics from the day!

Right before we walked into the hospital

The happy & anxious parents to be :-)

On the way to the OR!  Oh Jason, can't believe you got this one.

Can't believe I am putting this one on here of me, but it was our moment we met for the first time, I was overwhelmed with emotions! (so was Jason :-)

Smallest baby :-)  Only 7 lbs, sorry for exposing you Ellie.....but this is proof you are a girl!!

Ellie got the boys each a new truck/hummer....Owen and Emery really enjoyed meeting their baby sister, they were petting her nicely :-)  Jake was running around the room!

Just love her chin :-)

We are SO in love with our daughter....more pics to come later!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving at our house.  We decided to have a brunch that morning....complete with homemade french toast and egg casserole.  It was delicious, but most of all, it was great just being together.   We went for a walk up the road and got some exercise ( I was hoping that might put me into labor but that didn't happen :-)
We all took a nice nap after brunch :-)  and then I headed to work that night.

This was so sweet..Jake fell asleep when Great Grandma was reading to him :-)

We are scheduled for the c-section on Tuesday Nov 27th....and can't wait to meet baby Ellie and have her join our family!!!!

Emery's Achievements in Preschool

We  had a parent/teacher conference last night at Emery's preschool.  Jason and I met with his 2 teachers "Miss Mary" and "Miss Rhonda" and they shared how he is doing.  We received awesome feedback, they do a formal assessment of his progress on naming colors, shapes, letter recognition, matching letters, generating letter sounds, rhyming, syllables, counting, number recognition and number correspondence, he scored amazingly well in all areas.  There was 1 area (generating letter sounds) that Jason and I thought maybe he scored a little low and they explained that he is exceeding where he should be....he scored 3 points above where he should be when he is ready to enter kindergarten!!!  We were very impressed with our 4 1/2 year old last night, they had wonderful things to say about him.  He is social, loves to interact with his classmates, is kind, respectful, is eager to learn, he uses manners, shares with others, and is obedient.  Jason and I joked later about it, I guess your kids act better for other adults and it helps when your younger brother isn't around to fight with :-)  He is such a good little boy that does strive to do what is right.
We are SO proud of Emery......way to go buddy!!!!!!!!!

This is a piece of his artwork he made at school recently for Thanksgiving!

Getting spoiled!

Ladies from church threw me a baby shower on Tuesday night 11/13.......over 25 women showed up, it was SO nice!  We received some amazing gifts.....homemade blankets, clothes, diapers, and so much more.  I was a bit overwhelmed!  The theme was "Sugar and spice and everything nice".....yummy treats!!

Jennifer, Amber, me and Donna (these 3 put the shower together)

Playing some games :-)

Jennifer, me and Heidi

And this is what happens after 3 baby girl showers!!!!!!!!  I need a BIGGER closet!

I have a lot more organizing to do (as you can see :-)  I need to clean out the very top of the closet and get some bins and store the bigger sizes up there, but need Jason's help!

Concerns from Emery and mommy :-)

We were sitting together after dinner last night and Emery says to me "mommy, I am worried about you".  I ask why and he says "because the doctors are going to cut a hole in your belly to get baby sister out".  He continues and says "that will hurt you mommy and I am scared".  He was almost in tears.......it was such a tender moment.  So, I had to explain the best I could to a 4 year old's mind that c sections are completely safe and mommy is not scared and everything will be ok.  I reminded him that the doctors took Emery, Owen and Jake the same way :-)

We are scheduled for surgery 3 weeks from yesterday, November 27th, I am starting to get anxious, mostly about whether or not I will go into labor this time since I did with Jake.  My doctor said there's a pretty good chance that I will, so it's kind of hard to plan when you just don't know if it will happen or not.  I am worrying about the boys (A LOT) and what I will do if we have to leave to go to the hospital, etc.  I told my mom she is going to have to be on call, and will have to call into her work, which is just stressful, but we have no choice.

I am way excited to meet Ellie and pray that she is healthy.  I know there are really tough times ahead.....Jason and I joke about which is worse, me being pregnant these last few weeks or recovering from surgery with major sleep deprivation :-) and juggling a newborn in our already crazy house!!!  We will get through it......but I am a major worrier, always have been, not a trait I am very proud of.  I am worried about baby Jake and his adjustment to not being the baby anymore.  We were around a new baby recently and he didn't handle it too well seeing mommy hold him :-(  I will just have to take one day at a time and say lots of prayers!!!

Halloween Fun

Halloween was pretty fun this year.....Owen and Emery were way into it :-)  Jason carved pumkins with them and Jake enjoyed watching!!

The boys loved trick-or-treating, especially with their buddies Carson & Cade.....Owen "race car driver", Carson and Emery were great Buzz Light Years and Cade as "woody", too cute!

Jake "the bat" was hilarious, he would walk up to the door, throw his pumpkin bucket to the side and grab a piece of candy and then eat it with the wrapper still on :-)  He didn't quite get it but he sure had fun!

These 2 are such good buds....holding hands as they walked from house to house, too sweet!
