Redfish continued :-)

We rented a paddle boat and went over to a cool little sandbar....Emery LOVED it!  We found lots of pretty rocks and Emery found a dead fish :-)  He couldn't stop talking about it.  He even said "Goodbye dead fish" when we left!

Check out the amazing water near the beach.....it reminded us of the ocean in Tahiti on our honeymoon, seriously beautiful, I have never seen water like this in a lake much less in Idaho :-)

Our camping trip to Redfish Lake

We headed up to Redfish Lake for a 5 day camping trip with the whole family.....my mom, Steve, Keegan, and Jason's mom was here from Florida, so we had a large group and lots of fun.  We spent time boating every day, hanging out on the beach, swimming, hiking, biking, making lots of meals together, having smores, and just being together.  The Sawtooth mountains are amazing and so beautiful....there's really nothing like it.  The pictures don't even begin to capture all the beauty of this place, it's one of those places that you have to see to truly experience it.  We feel blessed to live so close to such an amazing place, it's only about 2 1/2 hours away from our house.
I was so bummed though, my camera battery died 2 days into the trip, so didn't get to capture some of the sweet moments, but we have the memories in our minds :-)

More to come!!!  See the next post :-)

Grandma Kim comes to visit

Grandma Kim came for a visit this past week....the boys just loved having their grandma here.  We had lots of fun in the sun!

It's official.....Jake is walking!

Jake has been toying with the idea of walking for weeks and has taken steps here and there but nothing real consistent until yesterday.  It really clicked yesterday, 7/23/12 and now he's really into the idea :-)

Way to go Jake.....we are very proud of you!

Happy 15 months Jake

Jake turned 15 months yesterday, July 11th.  He is a busy boy these days.....still crawling very fast, but walks with some bribery :-)  I just think he prefers crawling at this point since it's way faster!  He is down to 1 nap in the afternoon, which is usually about 3 hours.  He is such a sweet boy and loves his big brothers.  All you have to do is look his direction and he smiles.  It is the cutest thing ever when he starts to belly laugh!

We celebrated with some friends last night on the boat.....he just loves cruising on the lake!

His stats:
Weight: 24 lbs, 5 ounces
Height: 31 1/2 inches
Head Circumference: 19 inches

It's a __________________!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!  I still can't believe it!  We had an ultrasound at 15 weeks and my doc said he was 80% sure it was girl, but I couldn't wrap my head around the idea.  I was thinking we would go in there today and would be told it's a boy, but that didn't happen :-)  We are very excited for the new adventure!  Now it's time to start thinking names.  I have a good excuse to go shopping now too!  The baby looks healthy and our prayers have been answered.  We are feeling very grateful.

I just love this small video.....she's trying to suck her thumb and moving her mouth lots, so cute!

Here's a pic of me on this day...........I wore the right color :-)

Pool time & Happy 4th of July!

We have spent a couple days at pools with the boys and they have loved it!  We went to our friend's neighborhood that has a kid pool with a gradual entry and the boys played with their friends and boats the entire time :-)

Today, we started the 4th of July at one of the pools in my mom's neighborhood.  It is prefect, only 2 feet deep, perfect for our non-swimmers!!  They absolutely loved it!

Jason was giving Emery and Owen rides around the pool and I captured this moment with Owen.....so cute, they didn't even notice I was taking pictures.

Jake after eating his lunch.....look closely and you will see peanut butter in his toes, eyes, ears, well...just about everywhere!!!
