1st day of Summer

We spent the first day of summer boating :-)  It was a gorgeous day, in the 80's with lots of sunshine.

Jason was cracking up when Emery was driving since we were all over the place!

Big preggo lady :-)

Checking out the ducks below the boat at the dock

We think we might have a gymnist on our hands....he held himself up without Jason's help in the pullup position too, he's a strong boy!

Update on Jake

There have been so many changes with Jake in the last week.  He started standing by himself on Monday June 19.  He must have stood up 20 times and with the biggest grin, he was very proud!  He took 4 very baby steps,  but steps by himself between Jason and I, it was very cute to watch.  He has been without a night bottle for several days now and he doesn't seem to miss it, yay!  He is copying what we are saying more and more.....he has been saying "up" and last night he said "hot" many times, so cute!  He finally said "mama" too, he has made the mamamamamama sounds but he finally decided to say it to me :-) very clearly.

Happy Father's Day

We had a great day today...went to church, I was asked to give a little talk and chose to speak about Jason.  Here's just a little of what I said:

Here is a quote I found from an article on Father's Day from some of the leaders in our church, it said, "The greatest work you will ever do will be within the walls of your own home". This is so true and such an important reminder.  Jason is an amazing father, his job description is pretty big, he is their mentor, their leader, teacher, playmate, their buddy, their hero and the list goes on. He is such a wonderful example to them. Jason spends countless hours outside with the boys, just doing boy things. They love to watch him fix things and work in the yard and do projects.  Emery often says "daddy, you are really good at fixing things", when I grow up, I will fix things too, just like you”.
Jason is such a wonderful example to me as a parent. He never complains about his responsbilities as a father. He loves his boys with all of his heart and it shows in every way.  He loves to make them laugh and they have such a great sense of humor just like their daddy.
Since I work part time nights in the ER as a social worker, the boys get the opportunity to have lots of what we refer to as "daddy time". Jason is so great with them, he cooks them dinner, changes many diapers, and does the entire bedtime routine... reading to them and saying their bedtime prayers with them. He runs errands with all 3 of them, like going to home depot, the grocery store, and even Costco, he is very brave (I don't even take them all to Costco :-).  Although, we joke because some things don't always get done, like maybe they don't get a bath that night, but that's ok because that's daddy time and they are happy and so loved.
Jason is a devoted father &our boys look up to him so much. He is a wonderful provider, he works so hard and has such a demanding job, but he finds a way to put on his daddy hat as soon as walks through the door, he jumps right in and is so hands on with the boys. Jason is building such great memories and traditions with our boys, from fishing, camping, boating, hiking and going on fun 4 wheeler rides.  They really do love their daddy!
I am so grateful that my children have a father like Jason. I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for his love and service to our family, our boys are so lucky to have him!

We finished the day with a great dinner at our house with the whole family, my mom, Steve, Keegan & Grandma Oliver.  Happy Father's Day everyone!

1st day boating for the summer

We went on the boat for the 1st time this summer, it was a great evening with the family.  We sure love being on the lake!

Jake loves his grandma Oliver

Keegan learned to wakeboard, yay!  Emery was so cute, he kept saying to him "just keep trying Keegan".

Camping Trip to Warm Lake

We headed up to Warm Lake for a camping trip with our dear friends, the Buchers, they have 3 boys under the age of 5, so it's lots of fun for everyone to get together.  The weather was great for the first week in June, we only had a few hours when it rained one day.

All the boys eating breakfast

Owen LOVES corn on the cob!

Jake loved the watermelon, he kept trying to eat the green part :-)

Emery & Owen loved their new camping chairs

This was funny.....we decided to go through the river after our lunch instead of taking the bridge :-)  It was a fun adventure!

We got the boys their own fishing poles....Jason loved fishing with the boys, I see lots of fishing in our future!

Happy 14 months Jake!

Jake is 14 months old today!  He decided to practice standing today......he's getting more brave, but I still think he will follow in his big brother's footsteps and walk at 15 months.  We'll see if he proves me wrong :-)

Happy 4th Birthday Emery Quinn!!!

Emery turned 4 on May 29....it's really crazy how fast 4 years can go......we had a great birthday party for him at a park in Boise.  He LOVES being with his friends.  It's a great park that has lots of trails for riding bikes so everyone brought them and they had a fun time.  Here's Emery opening a gift above (a candy bar) that his friend Cole bought with his own money, how sweet is that?  Emery loves anything sweet, so it was a huge hit :-)

Emery requested an excavator cake......and this mommy isn't that talented so I enlisted our friend Stephanie again, she is amazing and he LOVED it!

Singing happy birthday to him....and he covers his ears, too funny!

Eating pizza with his little brother :-)

Our hilarious attempt at a family pic

Jake loved the pizza too!

Emery's best friend Cade sitting next to him, they are great buddies

All the boys ended up on the tennis court on their bikes :-)

Emery had a great time.  He is such a social little boy who loves being outside with his friends.  He is growing up way too fast, slow down a little Emery!  We love you so much!!!
